    <description>&lt;P&gt;Yes, the WFT E6 is compatible with both 1D X and 1D C, they offer same functions for wireless camera control and still image transfer. It's not designed to transfer video files.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;I've used it with 1D C in my studio and it performs very well (all exposure control, record start/stop, liveview@2fps).&lt;/P&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;DIV class="lia-message-heading lia-component-message-header"&gt;&lt;DIV class="lia-quilt-row lia-quilt-row-standard"&gt;&lt;DIV class="lia-quilt-column lia-quilt-column-20 lia-quilt-column-left"&gt;&lt;DIV class="lia-quilt-column-alley lia-quilt-column-alley-left"&gt;&lt;DIV class="lia-message-subject"&gt;&lt;FONT size="2"&gt;We are looking to remotely control our 1DC but running up against some obstacles. &amp;nbsp;Perhaps some of you can help. &amp;nbsp;Ideally, we'd run in wirelessly, but we can run cables if necessary. &amp;nbsp;We are talking about distances from 20 meters to possibly 200.&amp;nbsp;&lt;/FONT&gt;&lt;/DIV&gt;&lt;/DIV&gt;&lt;/DIV&gt;&lt;/DIV&gt;&lt;/DIV&gt;&lt;DIV class="lia-message-body"&gt;&lt;DIV class="lia-message-body-content"&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;FONT size="2"&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/FONT&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;FONT size="2"&gt;Neither of the two wireless DSLR controllers that I'm aware of, the camranger &amp;nbsp;&amp;lt;&lt;A href="http://www.camranger.com/" target="_blank" rel="nofollow"&gt;http://www.camranger.com&lt;/A&gt;&amp;gt; and the k-circle &amp;lt;&lt;A href="http://www.lockcircle.com/" target="_blank" rel="nofollow"&gt;http://www.lockcircle.com&lt;/A&gt;&amp;gt;&amp;nbsp;support the 1DC. &amp;nbsp;Even the wired remotes like the okii &amp;lt;&lt;A href="http://www.okii.net/" target="_blank" rel="nofollow"&gt;http://www.okii.net/&lt;/A&gt;&amp;gt; don't list the 1DC as compatible. &amp;nbsp;In our tests, we couldn't get the okii to work with more than 6 meters of USB, probably because longer cables use a repeater.&amp;nbsp;&lt;/FONT&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;FONT size="2"&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/FONT&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;FONT size="2"&gt;One obvious wired remote is the EOS utility software running on a laptop, but I'm under the impression that the EOS utility software doesn't currently support triggering live view and video record on the 1DC. &amp;nbsp;Is that true or has it changed? &amp;nbsp;Does anyone have tips on running this software at a distance of 20-100 meters? &amp;nbsp;Anyone have an idea if the software would function with an ethernet, LAN, or fibre extender from Icron.&amp;nbsp;&lt;A href="http://http//www.icron.com/products/icron-brand/usb-extenders/" target="_self"&gt;http://www.icron.com/products/icron-brand/usb-extenders/&lt;/A&gt;&lt;/FONT&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;SPAN style="font-size: small;"&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;FONT size="2"&gt;Other ideas?&amp;nbsp;&lt;/FONT&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;FONT size="2"&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/FONT&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;FONT size="2"&gt;Thanks in advance.&lt;/FONT&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;FONT size="2"&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/FONT&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;FONT size="2"&gt;I posted this on the cinema list as well, but got no responses. &amp;nbsp;&lt;/FONT&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;/DIV&gt;&lt;/DIV&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;Hi, your only option is to use Canon WFT-E6 wireless receiver and an iPad as controller. Basically the WFT unit creates an Ad Hoc network and the iPad controls the camera via a EOS Utility web interface. Because it support 802.11abg the range is very good (with minimal obstruction).&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;The unit is a bit pricy though, but could be very handy.&lt;/P&gt;</description>

      <description>Do you know if you can use it with the 1DC. People say it is just like a 1DX but remote manufacturers say it isn't a total match. Specifically trouble enabling live view and record. Also, could you really move the massive 4k video files over this link?&lt;BR /&gt;</description>
