No one knows. Canon has become very hard to predict. Many of us thought there was going to be an announcement this last March. I would still expect an announce sometime in 2013 but that is really based on nothing more than the current price and sales of the 60D.

I would expect soon. $200 rebate on 60D should indicate something. I just picked up a refurb 60D for $579 from a NY online retailer. A deal too good to turn down. It will join a 7D and 5DII in my bag, replacing a 50D.

I have read in "Canonrumors.com" it will be announced in July, and available in September. That site also said the 7DII will be announced in Dec 13, and available after Jan. 2014. I bought my 7D yesterday.

Enjoy your 7D, its an awesome camera. Whenever the 7D Mk II is released it will be very pricey if it follows the trend of the 5D Mk III. I'll bet the 70D will have a sharp increase too.
