topic EOS 750D Pictures rotate when I upload them to Snapchat in EOS DSLR & Mirrorless Cameras

Hello, I’m new to using a professional camera.. I kind of figured out how to use my camera (750D) and how to upload the pictures to my mobile, but I’m facing a problem where my pictures are rotating when I upload them to Snapchat. They’re also not appearing fully on Instagram. What program could I use to help me with this? Any tips would be appreciated.

Greetings!

I don’t use Snapchat. But there a few possible explanations. The question that needs to be answered is when and where are the photos being rotated.

Most social media platforms are optimized to work on a smartphone. Most devices capture images in “portrait mode”. Most DsSKR cameras default to capturing images in “landscape mode”.

Your camera defaults to landscape mode, but the user can capture images in portrait mode by simply rotating the camera 90 degrees.

The camera has internal settings that can auto rotate images when it transfers images before they are transmitted. Are the photos rotated in the camera?

The smartphone can have app settings in its transfer app to auto rotate images as it receives transmitted images from the camera. Are the images rotated differently from what you see in the camera?

Finally, Snapchat itself could be automatically rotating images when you upload them. It could be auto rotating landscape photos to portrait mode photos.

Time to start checking the photos from start to finish. Find out when and where the images are getting rotated. Does it happen before or after you transmit images to your phone? Does it happen before or after you transfer photos to SnapChat!
