Greetings,

As a new user. First thing I recommend. There is a setting that will not allow the shutter to release without an SD card installed. I suggest enabling this.

How large are the files?

Do they play on the camera?

How are you downloading them to your computer?

Suggest you try with the EOS utility or a card reader.

i have the canon rebel t6. brand new, haven’t had it a week. whenever i connect my camera to the canon connect camera app, all my photos save when i try to download them. however when i try to save videos that’s a different story. they do not save. it says something along the lines of “failure of saving”. my videos are not long, they were about 20-30 seconds.

It sounds like your videos may need to be first processed with the Canon Movie Utility. Also, you video files may be too large for your phone’s memory. Try downloading them to a computer, and test them out.
