topic 7D Mark ii will not turn OFF in EOS DSLR & Mirrorless Cameras

I have a 4 month old 7D Mark ii that will not turn off. The camera opperates just fine, but when the power switch is flipped to the off possition, the camera remains fulling functional. I can take picture, and review what is on the memory cards just fine. If I open the battery door, or the memory card door, the camera will turn off, but as soon as I close the doors, the camera turns back on. I have tried removing the battery for 3 days straight to see if that will cause the issue to reset, but that did not help. I'm hoping there is a quick fix so I don't have to send it in for service.
