Without know the task at hand and amount of magnification needed may as well recommend the Canon 1200 L

The EF 600mm f/4L IS II with a 2X teleconverter actually gives better image quality than the EF 1200 f/5.6L. While it may be a stop slower, the EF 600mm f/4L IS II does have image stabilization.

The EF 600mm f/4L IS II truly is the best lens over 400mm regardless of the price.

But practically speaking, what the OP needs is portability. The $100k 1200mm lens is great but hard to move. He needs a small camera transporting vehicle, like a Ferarri or a Porche. 😉
