Need to use External Video Recorder, Canon really tricked us nicley

The 70D is a digital camera, which can also dual purpose itself as a camcorder. However, it is not a video camera.

I know, but other manufatures (sony, panasonic, nikon etc) provide a Clean HDMI Output with a lot of there cameras Canon only offers this with there high end 5D or higher.

Canon Updated their firm ware on the 5DMarkIII to offer Clean Output, so i assume it could be possible.

There are reasons people don't want to shoot on a Camcorder, that option should not be limited on a DSLR

I now there is a Magic Lanturn Firmware for 70D does anyone know if it offers a Clean HDMI output or is it the same as the Stock Canon Firmware?
