Is there a good external microphone for the eos 5d?

I'm in the market for an external mic for my eos 5d mark II. Everything online (Amazon.com) seems to be rated poorly or be brands I'm not at all familiar with. Does canon make a good external mic? I can't seem to find any links for any on their website. Thanks in advance!

Canon does not make their own brand stereo microphones to connect to the EOS 5D Mark II or other EOS Digital SLR models.

It is better than the built in microphone, but I always hear a background noise.
