Just registered. Didn't plan to post. Reviews on these FFs welcome, Thank you. Ps...Don't own a Canon. I have a pentax K20D.

A google search will find many reviews on both, and since both are older models I'll ask what interests you about either. I've owned both & wouldn't recommend anyone buy a 1Ds these days thanks to the advancements in even the Rebel series of bodies. It was hard on batteries & limited to ISO 400 or below for clean images. I still own & shot a 1Ds2 & they can be bought right these days but again there are other worthy choices depending on your needs. Neither can use EF-S lenses.

IMHO, the K20D is not comparable to any 1 series Canon. It is closer to the Rebel line except for the larger sensor. Again, IMHO, the 1 series that is the most desirable right now are the Mk III's. Although not FF they are at bargain prices if you look.

Don't buy either....Canon has stopped servicing the older cameras!
