    <description>&lt;P&gt;I don't know of a "cheap" mic. &amp;nbsp;The Rode VideoMics are extremely popular among videographers who use DSLRs. &amp;nbsp;The mic mounts to the hot-shote (just as an attachment point... it's not electronic) and it's short wire connects to the mic in port on the side of the camera.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;The sound quality and directional nature of the mic is very good... but I think the basic mic is (the "VideoMic" ... not the "VideoMic Pro" nor stereo versions of the VideoMic) is about $150.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Perhaps you can catch a Black Friday sale.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Sweetwater.com is to music industry equipment what B&amp;amp;H Photo and Adorama are to photography equipment. &amp;nbsp;So you add them to a place you search.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;New or used, not looking to spend more then $50.00 if possible. I know there are plety of knock off mics on the market and am betting some better then others???&lt;/P&gt;</description>
