The T3 is a very basic camera with very few extra features, but it will take good photos and can be an excellent leaning camera.

$200 is about right if it comes with 1 or 2 lenses and all the regular accessories like batteries and charger. If it is just the camera body, $200 is too much.

Hi, I just found a Canon eos rebel t3 on letgo for $200. Is this a good intro to DSLR cameras, and will I be able to take good pictures as a beginner, as well as better ones as I get more experienced? Also, i looked it up and saw that it was at least four years old. Does age matter much in the camera world, and do you think this would hold up over time? Thanks

"$200 is about right if it comes with 1 or 2 lenses and all the regular accessories like batteries and charger."

I agree, the T3 is a very basic 'older' camera. IMHO, $200 is top of the mark, too. It needs to be mint. You might get a T5 for that or just a few dollars more which is a newer model of your basic camera.
