topic RAW files give a red tint when processed in photomatix? in EOS DSLR & Mirrorless Cameras

What causes or what is the fix, to correct a terrible red tint over HDR photos processed through photomatix 4. It only happens if I process RAW files from a 5D Mark III, JPEG's process fine.

The internal structure of RAW was changed for 5D3. You should update the program(s) but first ask (or try) to see if the new version of the program supports the new RAW format. It is a common problem with the programs which are based on Dave Coffin's dcraw.

A temporary solution would be to use the Canon's own program which comes with the camera or download a good freeware picture manager / browser (like FastStone Image Viewer - see www.faststone.org ) which supports it and convert the files to JPG (or any other format which Photomatrix reads).
