USB-C not charging my EOS R50 V

Good day people,

When my new camera arrived like in May 29th, I wanted to charge my camera with a USB-C changer to my camera which it worked and now when I use a power bank with a USB to USB-C charger, my camera wouldn'y charge at all. And when I use a different chager like USB-C to USB-C it still wouldn't charger my camera.

Does it have it do with my USB connection settings or is it a power input problem?

Are you using the USB cable provided with you body? Not all cables are compatible.

Please give us a complete picture of your environment.

Camera body R50v

What kind of cable are you using as my colleague asked?

What is the brand and model of the power bank you are using.

What are its specs?

Your power bank should be at minimum 45 Watts 9 volts 3 amps. The cable you are using must be rated for PD and I usually recommend 100w.

Canon does not provide a cable with this camera so tell us more about the one you're using.

Note that charging only occurs when the camera is turned off.

Check the specs on your USB block and cable. I'm using the following without any issues.
Anker USB C Nano II 65W Wall Charger
Anker Nano USB-C 240W Cable 10ft

I'm using a 2 feet USB to USB-C cable, I don't know what's the wattage usage.

I'm using the "onn" 20,000 mAh or 20W powerbank.

on 20,000 mAh powerbank + 2 feet USB to USB-C charger

That makes sense, the first time I charged my camera (R50 V) with an Apple product (20W) with is USB-C input, and 6 feet android charger with USB-C at both ends.

I know when my camera is charging, the battery icon turns gray, meaning the camera is being charged.

I'll send the pictures at noon.

When I got the camera, I didn't get any charging cables. Just the LP-E7 charger.

It seems you missed some pertinent information in my reply.

If your issue is not resolved, please unmark the reply marked as a solution if it is not. Click on the drop down menu and deselect it.

A 20w PD will charge your camera extremely slowly. The user above is using a 65 W AC adapter. If you are using a portable PD it should be at minimum 45w as mentioned.

The cable (type) you use matters. It should be rated for PD. Cables that support PD are readily available on Amazon. Note that any cable that has a USB A connector on one end is not rated for USB PD. Portable PD cables are USB-C on both ends. The cable you're using is your issue if it has a A type connector on one end.
