Hi @putraazlin welcome to the forums. The camera does NOT have a red AF Assist Beam. The built in flash is the AF Assist Beam. MF means you manually focus the lens. The camera won’t focus the lens for you at all. Have you tried testing the camera outside to see if it will focus with the lens set to AF and the top mode dial set Auto/ Green Square. If it fails to focus again can you try a different lens to see if it will AF. How long by have you had this camera for. Canon has made 9 different 18-55mm lenses. We need the exact lens model name. 18-55mm is not good enough. I have example pictures below to help identify your exact lens model.

Hi, I just bought it in January

Body : EOS 600D

Lens : 18-55mm

mode set to Auto (Green), but if I set the lens to AF, they never auto focus like it used to before. And yes, it did job on MF, i even noticed that the lens is not even moving at all on AF, any mode also just flash busy, then most of them is nothing happens, not even shutter click sound coming through.

Thanks again!

A full name of the lens would be under the lens cap. A lens name would be EF-S 18-55mm F/3.5-5.6 IS STM for instance so please verify the lens name. Have you tried a different EF or EF-S lens to rule out the camera body. If not start there.

I dont have any other lenses yet, and one more noticeable problem is battery, I charged it till full (green light on), then I put it into camera, it showing half bar instead of full.

and I am driving to work now, I will update to you back once I reach home later.

What do you mean "on MF it did the job"?

Are you getting any error message?

Do this:

1.Set the mode dial to "P" (Program).

2. Set the lens switch to AF.

3. Go outside in daylight. See if camera focuses on distant subjects and/or nearby subjects (but not too close).

If it doesn't focus, either the lens is faulty or the body is faulty. You have to determine which. Find someone with a Canon EF or EF-S lens. And a camera that takes your EF-S lens. See what works.

You have called the camera a 60D and a 600D. Both are older models. Which is it? Where did you buy it from?

I mean, lens not even working by itself on AF, i need to twist manually little bit then it goes auto focus, then the photo can be taken. Otherwise it do nothing even i press the button. If I let AF mode directly without adjusting the focus, it keep showing busy with flash icon.

Even i switched the mode, it still show same error.

I think it about lens faulty. Thanks for your reply sir!

"... I just bought it in January"

So, it is not a new camera? First thing when buying used cameras is to completely reset it to out of the box state. I was about to instruct you about how to get the lens back to operation but I see that has already been done in another relpy.

You need to buy a brand new Canon battery and a top quality SD.

If these steps don't work the camera/lens is faulty and will need service.

“ Used it perfectly fine before, suddenly today, when I tried to take photo, it shows Busy (flash icon), and photo is not taken. “

That behavior is consistent with attempting to use a built/in flash before it has recharged.

How old is the battery? If you bought an older used camera, then it’s possible that the battery is as old as the camera. Ditto for the charger. Just buy a new battery for now.

Check the shooting mode. Make certain the camera is not in movie mode. The flash is only used for capturing stills.

If you have not already done so, you can download the full User Guide from the link below. Most of the software is too old for today’s computers.
https://www.usa.canon.com/support/p/eos-60d
