EOS R6 Mark II Exposure compensation not working with Remote Control BR-E2

I recently got a BR-E2 remote control. It pairs with and operates both the shutter and movie releases, but it the exposure compensation control doesn’t work. I also can find nothing on how to program the remote function buttons. Are these functions incompatible with the EOS R6 Mark II? If not, what do I need to do to set them up?

Thank you for the reference, but I tried that and exposure compensation doesn’t work. I suspect this function isn’t compatible with the R6 Mark II but I’m hoping for either confirmation of that by Canon or some type of special setup instructions for the camera.

If you switch to Intelligent Aito shooting mode, does it still not work?

Unfortunately, I tried it and that doesn’t work. The instructions indicate that the camera must be in a mode where exposure compensation is active. I’ve tried it in both aperture and shutter priority modes, and it doesn’t work in either one.

I think, but I am not positive, that you assign certain functions to different buttons in the Customizing Custom Functions of your camera. Look in the Customizing Custom Functions of your camera manual and see if certain functions can be assigned to the buttons on your remote.

Oddly enough, when Digital Zoom is enabled in movie mode, the remote control will properly zoom the image in and out. Unless someone else provides the answer, I’ll take John Hoffman’s advice and call Canon support tomorrow.

As best I can divine from the tables and notes here: https://cam.start.canon/en/H002/accessory_0060.html#accessory_0060_3 the exposure compensation function on remote is incompatible with the EOS R6 Mark II. Thanks everyone for your help with this.
