I'll try cleaning the button, but another thing I just realized is the camera isn't actually attempting to take pictures while the shutter is firing, but if I press the shutter button, it will take a photo

I just bought a broken Rebel T7 for cheap in the hopes of being able to repair it. Every time I turn it on, the shutter constantly fires as if it's taking pictures in continuous mode. It also fires the shutter a few times when I open the battery door. I've tried clearing settings and updating to firmware 1.0.1. Any other troubleshooting ideas?
