topic Canon R10 - How do Subject Tracking settings and AF Servo Characteristics settings interact? in EOS DSLR & Mirrorless Cameras

I know subject tracking settings in the R10 AF1 menu focus on a type of subject (people, animal, cars) but there is also an optional setting in AF1 for how well focus holds tracking to the subject. The AF Servo Characteristic settings in the AF2 menu also have a setting for how well the focus holds tracking to a subject (tracking sensitivity). Are the AF Servo Characteristic settings in AF2 menu ONLY used for when subject tracking in AF1 is set to NONE as the type? If not, how do the settings between the AF1 menus and AF2 menus interplay and prioritize.
