I just assign it to C1. It only takes a few seconds to activate without taking my eye from the EVF.

With the R5 Mk II and the R1, there is the Pre-cont. shooting option. It is on the Quick controls and, of course, it is in the menus and I could set it into My Menu as well but there doesn't seem to be a way to assign the enable / disable to a single button nor in the M-Fn array of options.

Is there a quicker way to enable / disable this option that I don't know about?

I guess I could use the C1-C3 modes... I am still not using those yet -- except for videos.

I suspect Canon didn't provide a single button setting because the selection is a two step process - need to select/accept the number of shots.

The R6M3 has a single button configuration option but doesn't offer choice of shots.
