Greetings

5DmkII was a great body. Start by inspecting the slot and testing with more than one card.

Best options. Repair will likely exceed the cost to replace.

Used mkII's can be had between $200-500

The Canon upgrade program is another good option.

If you have the capital, a mirrorless body with EF to RF adapter it would be a great option. For this you could go new or Canon refurbished. 😉

Mine doesn’t accept CF cards anymore, i tried two cards both of which work perfectly fine in my 5D MarkIII

I just bought both of them last year so I’d be quite pissed if I had to toss one of them already. Do they still repair those or does anyone know a fix?

Highly likely this is the problem. They can be quite difficult to straighten if severely bent. And they can and will break off if stressed too much. If th ta happens pop it up because it is toast.

Happened to me years ago. I was able to very carefully straighten and used camera for several more years. If it doesn't work camera would still need repair or replacement. I don't know what a shop would charge to repair, but Keh camera has an "EX" rated one for $320. MPB has 10 of them listed in the $320-$370 price range.

If a pin is broken off, that entire board will need to be replaced and I am almost positive (never did it) it would run well into the $300 range. The shop will have to have access to a junker to cannibalize for the board.
