Retired myself Ned, at least you have time to set the camera up.The menu is fairly intuitive and there are some good videos on the R6 Mk II setup.

You grabbed two nice lenses with the body, the 70-200mm should treat you well for sports. You'll love the body in low light, I use it quite a bit when hiking dense woods shooting wildlife.

Let us know if we can help, several of us own the same body and lenses and posts don't sit unanswered long. And congratulations on the new gear, it's always fun!

When I turn the R6 Mark II camera off and then gently shake it I hear something rattle inside...is that the in camera stabilization unit? When I power it on it does not seem to do this. Just got the camera in the mail and just want to make sure nothing is wrong/broken inside.

Absolutely, it will have a mild rattling sound when turned off. It is the In Body Image Stabilization (IBIS) which is not locked in place when the camera is powered off, the sensor is moving.

Mine does the same thing.

No worries, it's normal.

It's a great camera, big fan of mine. Did you recently get it? Are you liking the results you get out of it?

Just got it delivered today...just now trying to get it set up and understand the menu structure and what I need to adjust. I am little more that beginner but I just retired and getting back into photography. I got. the 24-105 L F/4 lens and the 70-200 L F/4 to go with it. Hoping to get some good soccer and volleyball shots of my grandkids. This board seems like a good place to share and get help...thanks again...Ned

If you do indoor photography I would highly recommend the RF14-35mm F4 L IS USM (if it ever is in stock).

I use it on my R6 Mk II and works extremely well in low light even though it is a F4 lens.
