topic EOS R7 & 5D Mark IV: Two Cards -1 video, 1 photo in EOS DSLR & Mirrorless Cameras

Hi- I have a R7 and a 5Div and it seems obvious to me that it would be good to have stills recorded to one card and movies to the fastest card. Is this possible on these or some other Canon body? Thanks

makromann,

Canon addresses this on this page:

https://www.usa.canon.com/learning/training-articles/training-articles-list/using-two-memory-cards

They even walk you through how to set it up.

Nice article Steve. I use a similar config on my R5 C. Movies to CFE B and images to a v90 SD. The SD cards are also fast enough for higher bit rate XF-AVC video in a pinch. This is primarily for convenience as a camera with 1 slot can capture both media types within it capabilities to a single card without any issues.
