      <description>&lt;P&gt;I recently purchased a new EOS Rebel SL3 EF-S 18-55 IS STM Kit.&amp;nbsp; When attempting to register this camera with the serial numbers on the lens and body, I received an error message that states,&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;"The serial number you have entered is invalid for one or more of the following reasons:&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;1) The serial number does not match the product you have selected (FCC ID which starts with "AZD" is often mistaken for serial number.)&lt;BR /&gt;2) The serial number entered indicates this product was not intended for sale in the United States and is ineligible for registration and support in the U.S.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Please verify your product model and serial number to ensure they were entered correctly."&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;I rechecked and re-entered the serial numbers multiple times, so this is not the issue.&amp;nbsp; I saw a previous message about this issue, but it did not provide enough detail for me to know if I have the same issue or where the correct numbers were located in order to complete the registration.&amp;nbsp; Do you have any assistance that you can provide?&lt;/P&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;Thank you for your response.&amp;nbsp; I purchased from Amazon.&amp;nbsp; The advertisement notes a 1 year manufacturer warranty.&amp;nbsp; A quick internet search indicates that the seller is a registered dealer.&amp;nbsp; Is there something obvious in the serial number that would indicate whether this item is a US market or gray market product?&amp;nbsp; Internet searching did not provide me with a concrete answer as to whether this product is definitely gray or US market.&amp;nbsp; No warranty card was included in the packaging.&amp;nbsp; &amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;I would trust the fact that, if there was no Canon USA Warranty card in the box, you have a gray-market camera.&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;Just saying you bought it "from Amazon" does not answer who the seller was. Amazon is a storefront for many independent sellers. While Amazon is an authorized Canon dealer, the independents may not be. On the Amazon listing, it says who it is SOLD BY and where it is SHIPPED from. Look at the listing again.&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;And, a shady seller could have advertised it as having a one-year mfr. warranty without that being true. Maybe it has a warranty through the seller that is not from Canon.&lt;/P&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;I believe “&lt;STRONG&gt;3&lt;/STRONG&gt;” means The&amp;nbsp;&lt;STRONG&gt;EU&lt;/STRONG&gt; which would mean a Gray Market camera. “&lt;STRONG&gt;2&lt;/STRONG&gt;” means for North America (Canada &amp;amp; US). Does the camera say “&lt;STRONG&gt;EOS Rebel SL3”&lt;/STRONG&gt;. Or does it say&amp;nbsp;&lt;STRONG&gt;EOS 200D II/ EOS Kiss X10&lt;/STRONG&gt;. If it doesn’t say&amp;nbsp;&lt;STRONG&gt;EOS Rebel SL3&amp;nbsp;&lt;/STRONG&gt;it’s not meant for sale here (Gray Market). Also the battery charger would have the incorrect type of connection with North America receptacles. The charger won’t physically fit/ plug into the outlet. Assuming that it’s the original Canon charger for the battery.&lt;/P&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;Hello.&amp;nbsp; The camera does have EOS Rebel SL3 on the front of the body.&amp;nbsp; The charger was able to fit both the body and my US electrical outlet.&amp;nbsp; Like you said, it may not be the original charger.&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;</description>

&lt;P&gt;Our cameras are usually sold in two ways: body-only or as part of a kit.&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;If you purchased your SL3 by itself (with no lenses), then you'd register it as the SL3 BODY. Simply type SL3 and select the product or kit you have:&lt;/P&gt;

&lt;P&gt;Something is vey strange here.&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;The Rebel designation is for US and Canadian market cameras, but your serial number designates European market.&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;My recommendation is that since you purchased from Amazon you exercise your return right and send the product back.&lt;/P&gt;
