    <description>&lt;P&gt;Hi,&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;If you have ever sent gear in to Canon for maintenance or repair, what symptoms or problems did you notice that compelled you to send it in? Did Canon confirm that something was indeed wrong and the problem was what you thought it was?&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;I am starting to think something is amiss when I get shots like the attached. Admittedly, operator error can be the biggest culprit. I steadied my camera on a tripod when I took this shot. It is a screen shot of the zoomed in image in LrC to 200%.&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;Camera: R3&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;Lens: 50mm (the cheap one)&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;Other: 1/125, f/8.0, ISO 2500.&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;At a press conference I went to the other day, the image of the person zoomed out wasn't bad--not good either, but probably ok for a social media thumbnail. But zoomed in to 66% in LrC, it looked terrible. Not overly pixelated, but really soft and grainy. Denoise and sharpening didn't help that much. Sharpening in Photoshop also did not really help that much.&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;Attached is a shot of what I am seeing when I did a test just today.&lt;/P&gt;

      <description>&lt;P&gt;I posted your image since you did so as an attachment.&amp;nbsp; It would be best for you to upload the actual RAW photo to a sharing service and provide us with a link so we can download.&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;

&lt;P&gt;I would suggest resetting your camera's main and custom settings while you troubleshhot and evaluate the camera's performance.&amp;nbsp; I would also use multiple lenses and a controlled shooting environment.&amp;nbsp; &amp;nbsp;I'm sure Canon does millions of repairs every year.&amp;nbsp; If you think there is an issue with your body, you can send in in for a cleaning, inspection and (if needed) repair.&lt;/P&gt;</description>

&lt;P&gt;I agree with Rick. Please share your original RAW image on a public file sharing platform. A screenshot of a cropped image is not helpful, not at all. &amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;You might try using the 2/10 shutter delay timer, One Shot AF, and Single Shot drive mode for this type focus test shot.&lt;/P&gt;</description>
