Hot pixels are normal. Go to the menu and select Clean now to map out the strongest ones. This is described in the camera manual. Open your manual, press Ctrl+F, and search for “cosmic rays.”

If you shoot in RAW format, RAW converters can also map out bad pixels -just as you described.

EOS R5 Images have hot pixels that disappear after a moment

I recently purchased an EOSR5 ,. Its my first mirrorless camera. I love it but its doing something ive never seen before. Occasionally in dim light like at sunsets . I get a tiny dot or a few red dots . They appear in the lower right side . Then they appear again when i first open the image in Lightroom on my phone . They disappear slowly a few seconds after opening the image..weird i know ... i am thinking its a hot pixel but have never experienced this with my DSLR , the camera was purchased in September. Are hot pixels normal, or is this a sensor issue ? Bad sensor ? Should i send it it ? Or is it ok? I love the camera and hate to be without if its normal...i was hoping someone on here had a similar experience and solution or could tell me if its normal . Google said it was normal at higher iso.or in low light. thanks Bill
