EOS R struggles to focus from close to infinity

Problem focusing with CANON EOS R
After i bought the R6 new, i fell in love with the mirrorless world so I bought the EOS R as an upgrade of one of my 6D for photos and i found out that it strugles to focus from close to infinity, i have to manually assist it by turning the focus ring a bit so it can catch focus easier, Its better (but not perfect) with wider lenses such as my sigma 35mm f1.4 art but it's imposible to autofocus with my Canon 135mm f2.

Does anyone else has that issue? should i send it for service?

Here is a link with a video of the issue : https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aPHVnDZ9j0Y

Camera's need contrast to focus and mirrorless have no crosstype points(well, the R1 has). If you focus on a plain surface(like in the video) or the image is completely blurry the AF system struggles. With long lenses and small DOF the problem is worse.
I don't think it's a defect, make sure to set "Lens drive when AF is impossible" to on, use a bigger focus area or tilt your camera to acquire focus.
