I switched the manual selection spot to the center and the spot metering kicked in. I'm a bit concerned that the glitch may be symptomatic of some issue that will be worse down the line. The back screen says it's on spot metering, but the camera meters in evaluative mode. I tried removing and reinserting the battery, but no change. Any ideas?
