topic EOS Rebel T7 Only shows half a photo on screen in EOS DSLR & Mirrorless Cameras

I was cleaning the interior of my camera and then reassembled it. Now, when I take a photo and look at it on the screen after I have taken it I only see half a photo from the top down. I may have inadvertently changed a setting. I would appreciate any suggestions on how to remedy this situation. Is there also a reset button (maybe in the menu section) that can be used to set the camera back to factory default settings.

Can we see a picture of what’s going on exactly? What exactly did you take apart in the camera? What did you clean exactly?

Probably

not a setting. Sounds like the mirror is not closing all the way. What happens when you take a portrait shot?

What do you mean by "the interior" of the camera? What did you take apart? Why on earth did you do this?

Your problem has nothing to do with camera settings. More like damage to the shutter or mirror mechanism.

I've never cleaned the interiors of any of my cameras much less disassembled them. I've always wanted a professional to clean them--if necessary--so I have someone to blame should something go wrong. I am 100% certain that I can cause something to go wrong when I do something where I have no expertise or training. Normally, I take many precautions NOT to have the camera with a lens unmounted and exposed. Moreover, I don't change lenses in dusty environments. My first camera has never been cleaned internally and is spotless, and so on.
