Camera Freezes Up - EOS Rebel SL3

So working with a Canon EOS Rebel SL3 and it keeps freezing up on me after about 45 mins of use. I do work outside, so was thinking maybe it was the weather that it couldn't keep up with. But also used it during a cool day and it seemed to happen around the same amount of time after use.

The issue happening is when you half press to get everything in focus, I usually hold down the second time to take the image. But after 45 mins of use, it will focus and continue to focus after every initial press. The red focus lights that appear through the eye piece seem to dim down after every press. The only thing to help it is to turn off the camera for about 15 seconds and then turn it back on. Has anyone dealt with this issue? Is this typical of the camera?

I was considering updating the firmware to 1.0.3, but the current firmware on the camera indicates 1.0.5. Researching it after a while, this is common due to the time (2021) and region the camera came from. Would updating (downgrading) to 1.0.3 help this issue? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Please be explicit. What type of memory card are you using? Only use full size cards. I suggest memory cards with modest capacity, 32GB or slightly less.

I am using a 128GB. If it were a memory card problem, wouldn't it be an issue all the time? Again it only happens after 45 minutes of quick usage.

Your description of the issues you are experiencing are consistent with a bad memory card.

Are using a full size memory card? Microsoft SD cards with adapters are not compatible. Can you post a photo of your memory card?

How are you using the camera when it freezes? Capturing stills or videos?

Is wireless communications disabled?
