topic EOS R5 Mark II time lapse exposure options similar to EOS R6 Mark II? in EOS DSLR & Mirrorless Cameras

I am thinking of upgrading my R6 mk11 to the R5 mk11 for better definition. However I use time lapse function quite often and a good feature of the R6 is that you can set the exposure for each seperate frame to get even results from dawn to dusk. I have a 5D mkiv and the time lapse on this sets the exposure on the first frame and does not change. The question I have is does the R5 have the same single frame exposure capabilities as R6 ?

Aerobatpj,

According to the product manual, you can. See Item# 7 here:

Hello,

The R5 doesn't have the same automatic exposure adjustment per frame as the R6. The exposure is fixed to the first frame and doesn't change during the time-lapse. The R6 allows for dynamic exposure adjustments across frames, which is great for dawn-to-dusk shoots. If that’s a crucial feature for you, the R6 might be the better choice.

Best Regard,
