Just an FYI - I have had my R6 mk2 for a few weeks now and have been working my way through all sorts of setup stuff. One of the features I was looking forward to was the built in Focus Bracketing. I had read earlier that many EF lenses (if used with a Canon EF- EOS R adapter) would work. My initial tries have not worked at all. When the shutter is presses there is a very fast sequence of shots, but no change in focus point. Several people have suggested that you make sure that AF is switched on, which I had done with no luck. FINALLY, I found a suggestion that the Elec full-time MF should be disabled (AF menu 6 - first line item). Presto, that did the trick.

Hey Mike, what lens or lenses have you tried the bracketing function with on your R6?

Some EF lenses, the EF100mm f/2.8L Macro IS USM, EF180mm f/3.5L Macro USM, and EF-S60mm f/2.8 Macro USM may require deactivating exposure smoothing due to possible image brightness conflicts.

It must be a quirk with certain adapted EF lenses. Electronic FTM is enabled on both of my R5 and R6 cameras (classic and mark II) and it works with all of the RF lenses I've tried. I have used it with two EF lenses, the EF-S 35mm f/2.8mm Macro and the EF 100mm f/2.8L Macro. Although the 35mm forces crop mode, it still works with EFTM enabled.

Hey Newton, both of those lenses are on the compatible list (link above). I was hoping Mike would swing back by and let us know what lenses gave him the challenge to see if it was listed. He found a solution so at least he has bracketing.

So, I had my EF 100mm f/2.8L macro on the camera when I was having the bracketing issues. Seeing your posts, I went back in and switched Elec full-time MF back on, and it still works. Now I'm very confused. I have been playing around with so many settings I have lost track of what might have created this issue in the first place. Thanks for the list of compatible lenses, I will check them out.
