I have several 4K videos that are reporting as 0kb when trying to transfer them from my R5 II to my Windows 11 64 bit PC via USB 3 or 4.
The videos are recorded to my 1TB Sabrent Rocket CFX Type B in slot 1.

The videos play just fine on the camera.

I have found articles and yTubes about this issue on other bodies and the supposed work around is to use the EOS utility which no longer exists.
Does anyone else have this issue? Have you figured out how to move the files?

Thanks in advance.

Tom

Greetings,

What format are you recording videos in?

XF-AVC, XF-AVC-S and RAW should be transferred via a card reader.

.MP4 can be transferred via USB. Check the port settings if applicable.

XF-HEVC S 422 10 bit

When you say "should be transferred via card reader" most card readers are USB. Do you mean to say that something like a PCI-e card reader is necessary?

SOLUTION

PROGRADE USB 3.2 Gen 2.0 Dual-Slot Card Reader
Compatible with CFexpress Type-B and SDHC/SDC UHS-II

Also, Canon support pointed out... "Per review, EOS Utility 3.19.0 for Windows is listed as an option under the software and drivers section for Windows 11. It may require for you to click on the red "LOAD MORE" button at the bottom of the list if the software is not showing right away."
https://www.usa.canon.com/support/p/eos-r5-mark-ii

I have not tried the utility, but the card reader worked great and moved the files quite fast.
