I'm referring to the 10 second countdown (so you can get in the picture) before the shutter clicks

I'm old school and shoot thru the viewfinder on my R7 so I don't have the screen open. However after a few shots the countdown timer turn itself on without me doing anything. How do I get it to stop this annoying behaviour?

kitmos,

What is being counted down, and what happens when the countdown stops?

Are you referring to the shutter countdown of 2 seconds or 10 seconds?

kitmos,

I don't know. Is it possible you may have inadvertently hit he 10 second continuous timer? It will be marked with the letter "c" in your self-timer setup. It will continue to shoot that way until you turn it off.
