Good evening,

I recently discovered that my Canon 6D Mark I doesn't turn on. I charged my battery fully, there was an SD card inside and still it would not turn on. I bought new batteries, charged them and still, nothing. I took the camera to a camera repair shop and the tech said it appeared that the batter door switch/trigger was broken and not completing the circuit to turn the camera on once the door was shut. Now, he found a switch on ebay for about $10, and it look like a single switch that one would solder on to a chip board. However, when I got home and attempted to find the same switch, I noticed that it seems as though the Mark I's battery door switch/trigger is actually on a ribbon and not just a single switch soldered to a board. Can anyone tell me the correct part I need to find to get this camera, hopefully, fixed. Is it on a ribbon or is it a single switch that's soldered? Thank you!
