Powershot G7X Mark III Lines on screen

Hi I recently got my g7x m iii and i noticed when i touch the screen grey lines appear and after a few seconds or so they disappear. Does anyone know what this is?

Hey! The PowerShot G7 X Mark III screen is a high-quality TFT LCD, but it’s not designed to be as touch-sensitive as an iPhone’s screen. When you touch it, those lines you see are just temporary pressure marks on the display, kind of like pressing on a delicate piece of glass. It doesn’t mean anything’s wrong, it’s just how that type of screen reacts to touch.

Your iPhone screen, on the other hand, is built with advanced touch and pressure-sensing technology that handles finger taps smoothly without showing any marks.

So, it’s totally normal for the camera screen to show some lines when you press it. It’s just a different kind of screen optimized for photography, not constant finger interaction. Nothing to worry about at all!
