How to take multiple shots on EOS DSLR

Recently gave my 14 yearold grandson my old Canon EOS D2100 camera with an assortment of lenses but unfortunately no user manual. He has knuckled down and taught himself most things, taking some fantastic shots at a recent air show. Now he wants to go to Mach loop where RAF planes practice low flying through the Welsh hills and they fly past you at eye level or even below you.For that he would like the camera to shoot multiple times, like a machine gun. Is that possible with that camera and if so how to set it up.

Hello, Frank!

As far as I know, Canon did not make a D2100. Please check to see if the camera is a 1200D, which would be a Rebel T5 here in the states. If it is the 1200D, it will be tough to find a manual because, if I'm not mistaken, Canon has dropped support for it, at least I couldn't get a manual at the Canon U.S.A. site.

Still, the feature you want is continuous shooting but I'm not sure where to find it in the 1200D. It will be a "Drive mode" option where you can set 1 shot or multiple shots with the press of the shutter button. I have the T4i and the T6s but skipped the T5 series, but IIRC, it will only shoot 3-4 FPS max. This may be fast enough, but maybe not 🙂
