Hi, I have the 400D / XTI and have never had problems shooting with 16 gig CF cards (600X speed) I use a combination of Kingston / SanDisk & Lexar. Suggest you also load the Rescue software from SanDisk, great sw if you ever need it. Does this answer your questions? Let us know if I've missed something. Always be sure your camera has the latest firmware installed.

Hi Ernie!

Thanks for posting. The EOS Rebel XT is only capable of addressing up to 8GB. When selecting a card to work with the EOS Rebel XT, another thing to keep in mind is that it is not compatible with any of the newer UDMA cards. The cards will need to be plain type I or II cards.

This didn't answer your question or issue?
