70D not turning on when sd card is inserted

Hi,

I have my 70D since 2018 and it works perfectly fine. For the last 6 months, i didn’t use it at all and when i tried to turn it on, it just didn’t.
I removed battery and sd card and tried to turn it on without the card and It did turn on but when i insert different type of cards, it didn’t.
the doors sensor is working fine.

can you please help me 🙏🏻

First an SD is not required for the camera to operate it will turn on without one. Second are you using full size SD? Never ever use micro-SD. Top brand SD not cheapo. Last look for any debris that may have gotten in the SD slot.

I checked the slot and it is debris free and everything looks fine from outside and still not working.

Well not good. You might try a full reset. You said it will turn on without an SD? So turn it on and do the reset and if that fails it need service but I doubt Canon stil services a 70D. You need to call them and ask. 1 (800) 652-2666

Make sure you clear all functions even custom settings.
