Check if you have enabled Preview AF. This setting makes the camera focus all the time it is powered on. Mostly it’s effective at eating through battery life too

My EOS R10 suddenly started acting like I’m half pressed on the shutter button. However, my finger is not on it. I have a button to go from Servo to One Shot focus but no matter which one I set it to, the focus box instantly goes blue or green and will not stop trying to focus regardless of what button I press. I had this problem once before and after three days it finally stopped trying to focus and I was able to go into the menu and turn off Preview AF which seemed to be the problem, even though that’s not what the setting is supposed to do. I need to use my camera for work tomorrow and am frantically trying to make it stop focusing because I am unable to open the menu while it does. I have pressed everything, tried different lenses, no lens at all, and it still is trying to focus. Even when I switch it to manual focus it has the same behavior like it’s somehow half pressed in autofocus and not letting me open the menu. I just plugged it into my computer in hopes that I could use EOS Utility to turn off whatever setting is causing this or even reset the camera but any button I try to click on just says “busy” because the camera is still trying to focus since it’s on. Please let me know if there’s anything I can do to fix this instead of hope it fixes itself by tomorrow because I really have no clue what made it stop focusing last time.
