I got a (very expensive) Canon R6 thinking I would have a great camera and with a few years of use it's already stressing me out!! I work as a professional photographer and the amount of dead/hot pixels on the photos are absolutely insane. I print out my photos a lot and waste so much time editing everything out. This is unacceptable for me for such an expensive camera! 😞

Does anyone have solution to this? Does canon have solution? I have tried the manual cleaning and the lens cleaning with the camera facing down with no luck. UGH! There are SO MANY of them!!

Just checking that your not speaking to dead pixels on the rear display, but issues showing up in actual photos?

What lens are you using? Could it have ended up with debris causing the issues? Assuming you change lenses as needed, do you take an air blower to blow out any dust that may have gotten onto the sensor?

They show up on the actual photos, so many tiny little red dots, sometimes in clusters..... no matter what lens I use so I'm guessing it's a sensor issue. I use a 35, 50, and 85 prime.

Prob should look at having the sensor cleaned (recommend a Canon service center). Do you noticed any debris on it?

That actually looks like a burned sensor due to laser. A sample raw file here from a camera that also has been hit by laser https://kameratrollet.se/wp-content/uploads/2024/04/laser-5DIV-raw-files-from-ash92.zip

And sample picture

Solution is a new sensor. Workaround is to use RawTherapee and to create a bad pixel list.
