It does sound like there's a hardware issue, especially since it's affecting both slots.

Just checking if you're using full-sized SD cards (micro-sized with adapters have been known to cause issues).

Finally, look into the slots to see if there are any bent pins. Take an air blower to flush out any debris. If there are bent pins or accessing cards continues to fail, time to call up Canon to see about a repair.

Hi there, I have a new R6 mii and a range of old (2 years) and new (2 weeks) SD 64 gb memory cards which i've tried to use (approx 20 in total) - all of which trigger the 'card cannot be accessed' message in slot 1 and slot 2. Literally 2 memory cards work of my collection of 25 (same brand and size).

They are the same memory cards i've always used with no issue, some used 20 times and some used once and all have the same message.

Has anyone had an issue like this? I have tried all the obvious fixes except for updating the firmware but given it's a month old surely it's not needed. I'm feeling like its a faulty card slot... in my brand new camera !

Would love some advice, thank you so much!
