My EOS 400D has a problem. When I press the photo play button, it takes a long time to load and the screen goes blank and then it loads but then it starts glitching between the photo screen, the busy... screen and the setting display screen. Please help me fix this.

Greetings ,

What brand and model lens is mounted on the camera?

Start by removing the lens. Verify the health of your storage media and reformat it. If you have a second card, try replacing it . Perform a settings reset on the body. Also ensure your battery is of known good quality and is freshly charged. Remount the lens and retest.

If the behavior continues, it's time for a new camera. Its 19 years old. If the issue cannot be easily resolved, wouldn't spend too much time tying to figure out what's wrong with it.

This is an assumption, but what this sounds like to me is a stuck button problem where pressing the photo play button once registers as a ton of presses, and it keeps jumping back and forth really fast. Does this problem only go away with a camera restart, or do you do something else that makes it stop?
