Thanks so much! So I thought I had identical settings on both cameras. Your reply helped me to realize that I had the Bluetooth and WiFi settings enabled on that camera. Had them on to share directly from my iPhone and forgot I did this. I disabled them. Starts up like normal now.

Hello, I have two R6 MKIIs winch I believe have identical custom settings that I use to shoot events. Lately, one of these cameras takes more than 30 seconds or so to turn on. This only happens when I put a new battery in. Once it dose come on, everything seems fine. If I turn it off and on again, it comes on right away but if I put a new battery in it delays starting up. In comparison, my other R6 MKII turns on almost instantly every time.

I've tried different batteries of course, attached different lenses and took out the memory cards.

Have an event next week and concerned it might not turn on at all one of these times. Anyone have an idea of why this is happening?

There was a Bluetooth bug with R6 II that slowed down the power up. Do you have the latest firmware installed?

If that doesn't help you should call Canon.

Hello. I am a photojournalist and I need to have the bluetooth and wifi on to transfer images and send them. Is the normal job to send politics or sports photos from the field in between I make the shots. I have the last firmware and is a big problem the camera long start up. I comment too that I was using an old 300 and duplicator so I used the converter for the old mount. I was trying to fill a note about this to Canon but I can´t find the way. The website always send me thru other menu and choices but there are not an email or formulary to fill. Any help is appreciated. All the best.

Greetings ,

The best thing to do would be to register your camera in your MyCanon account and contact support. (This step is important).

The next thing you can do (additionally) is visit the Canon USA homepage and use the [+]Feedback button in the top right hand corner or bottom middle of the page to leave product feedback.

I would do both, but start by working with Canon support.

Many thanks Shadowsports. But I can't register. I am from Argentina and Canon in my country have no assistance. I entered here because I read a mention of the problem and is right that turning off Bluetooth the start up time is normal. But I need to have it on. I will try with Canon Japan.
