My apologies. I was thinking in terms of mirrorless bodies instead of DSLRs.

    I have tried everything...

I love macro photography and the peaking would be very nice to use, but outdoors where it would be most necessary for wildlife photos, it's so dim, you cannot hardly see it. You can see it indoors fairly well.

I shade my lcd, brightened and dimmed my screen, varied the color and brightness of the peaking indicator, searched the settings.... nothing

I've searched the knowledge base, internet, etc. and can find nothing.

I'm running firmware version 1.1.3 which, because of the number, I think it's more current than the one to download and install. (If wrong, and if it'll correct the contrast of the peaking, I'd definitely install it.)

Is there a solution to brighten the contrast? I'd love it to be as good as the peaking indicators that I have on my phone! Surely, it can be.

TIA for any info or help in this reguard.

Have you tried using the viewfinder rather than the lcd?

Yes, but the 90d doesn’t have the focus peaking through the viewfinder, only through the back lcd.
