Are you using the Bluetooth remote release BR-E1, or the Bluetooth remote release capability in the Camera Connect App? If so then you can use both Bluetooth for shutter release and WiFi to transfer images to a computer using EOS Utility. In fact you can also control the shutter release from EOS Utility too.

Greetings,

Both can be on, but remote shooting will require wireless. Bluetooth would allow you to use GPS capability.
