I am afraid that such a delay free video, wireless Wi-Fi connection to a smartphone is probably not possible. The hardware is too slow.

Hello,

I need help with some options, how to connect my iPhone 16 Pro to Canon R7, to have external monitor on my iPhone. I know, that there is a wireless connection by Camera Connect app, but this connection is not satisfied myself, because there are some view delays and in video recording I need my picture "live", without any delays. I would like to have a wired connection, so... Do you have any options in my situation?

1. Connection by OTG cable 2x usb-c, and use some external/not dedicated by Canon app, to perfect connection? (If yes, then which app do you prefer?)

2. Connection by adapter (usb-c/female HDMI, and male HDMI/micro HDMI (and use some app for this connection)?

I will be very happy for some ideas in my problem.

Best Regards.

Matthew

Greetings,

I would recommend a cage, external monitor and use the clean HDMI out.

You could also try HDMI to a PC using the EOS utility.
