EOS R100 won't take photo with Commander 420-800mm lens

I just purchased an EOS R100 camera with a standard 18-45mm AF lens and it came also with a Commander 420-800MM Super Telephoto lens which is manual. Takes great pictures with the AF smaller lens but when I attach the larger manual focus lens and push the button to take a picture, nothing happens. Won’t take the snapshot. I assume it is something in the settings but can’t seem to figure it out. Any help is appreciated. Thanks

Please be careful. Buying these types of "package" deals or "kits" are often not sold by authorized dealers. They can include what is essentially junk used to inflate the price. The gear might also be grey market. This is gear that is illegally imported and intended for sale in another region or country. Please make sure your camera includes a US warranty card.

If it doesn't, your gear may not have a Canon. USA warranty or be eligible for support.

Not sure where you purchased, but it's best to purchase from authorized dealers only.

In order for the camera to take pictures with a manual lens, you will need to enable release shutter without lens attached on the (Custom Function) C.Fn4 menu.

Here is a bundle example. Walmart site, but not sold by Walmart. Sites like Amazon and Walmart have marketplaces comprised of sellers who might not be authorized dealers.
