topic Canon EoS R7 USB C Charging not workin in EOS DSLR & Mirrorless Cameras

Hello everyone. The problem is that I can't charge my Canon EoS R7 camera using the original LP-E6NH batteries, and I've also tried non-original batteries. There is no charging via the Type-c connector. I tried charging through the power supply, through the power bank - nothing happens, the camera sees the installed battery as LP-E6NH and the charge is 64%, for example, and nothing happens, I turned off the camera, as written in the instructions, but similarly charging does not happen. I updated the software from 1.5 to 1.6, which only gave me the fact that the camera has learned to recognize the battery, but refuses to charge. I tried different blocks, different power banks. How do I charge it, what am I doing wrong, maybe there is some magic button? 😃

Greetings,

The camera has to be turned off in order to charge a battery.

Based on your description, it sounds like the chargers or cable(s) you are using are not correct for USB - C charging.

Please provide the specifications for the charger or power banks you are using. Also, the cable must be capable of data transfer and power delivery, so knowing which cable(s) you are using might be helpful. There is no "magic button" except that the camera be turned off to charge the battery. 🙂

Thanks, I figured it out. It turned out it was the wires. It turns out that it was impossible to charge from a USB Type-A - USB Type-C wire. I changed it to a USB Type-C - USB Type-C wire and everything worked. Thank you again and have a nice day!
