EOS Rebel T3 firmware update won't complete

Hello,

I have been trying to update my camera but it will not. I have the file on a SD card and it see's the file and I say yes to update. Once I click SET button it says "LOADING..." but that is it, it does not go any further. The red AF led is also lit up, not sure if it is supposed to or not as the manual does not say anaything about this.

Can anyone please help me?

Verify - you have the .fir file loaded onto the SD card root directory? No other accessories connected?

Yes, the .fir file is in the root dir and I have nothing connected to the camera. I even have removed the lense.

Camera still works? Try resetting camera and start again.
