EOS 250D Viewfinder light doesn't work after cleaning

Today, I removed the lens and wiped the inside of the viewfinder with a cloth. Now, the light inside the viewfinder isn't working anymore. I'm requesting help to know if it can be fixed with thorough cleaning, or if it needs to be replaced. I only bought it about three days ago."

How did you clean inside the viewfinder? You physically cannot reach it unless the focusing screen is removed which is not possible on the EOS 250D/ Rebel SL3.

You should have camera repaired by Canon.

You saw the reflex mirror on the bottom that bounces light up to the viewfinder and the focusing screen above it. You cannot clean a focusing screen instead it has to be replaced. It is a very delicate item in an SLR camera. Last I checked the focusing screen is NOT user replaceable in the EOS 250D/ Rebel series of cameras. If you look at my picture at the DSLR section you'll see how a DSLR camera works. The camera needs to be sent to Canon for repairs.

The focusing screen IS NOT user replaceable. It will have to be sent to Canon for replacement if replacement is even possible. Or if you recently bought it exchange it with the retailer.

Yes the mirror looks clear and the upper focus screen looks "blurry".The focus screen is meant to have that 'texture'.
If you try to clean the focus screen it can move out of place.If you use cleaning fluids,those can clog up it's textured surface.The others are right- you'll need to send it for repair

Just as a smudge on the lens of an LED wall sconce light fixture can dim its output, even a microscopic layer of oil from your skin or a cloth can "blind" the optical sensors or light paths inside a high-precision camera body.
