The EOS DSLR lineup has been discontinued and that includes the Rebel camera series. What lenses do you currently have. Please provide the FULL NAME of the lens in question. Saying “Canon EF-S 55-250mm” isn’t a complete name. Canon has made multiple different lenses with that name. Canon has moved on to mirrorless cameras which is the EOS R series. 3rd Party lens compatibility is NOT Guaranteed by Canon. That’s up to the 3rd Party manufacturer. Even if you moved from your current camera to another EOS DSLR. The lens may or may not be compatible with your camera. Existing EF or EF-S lenses can be adapted to the RF Mount. But note limitations exist with older lenses such as 12 fps, Dual Pixel AF and other features will not be available. Due to the lens’ older hardware.
